Introduction to Chinese Culture

We organize various activities in order to enable our students to learn more efficiently by meeting cultural elements while learning their foreign languages.

A wind of Chinese culture blew at the School of Foreign Languages this week. Our students, who took Chinese lessons, made presentations about Chinese culture, which they prepared with great care. Among them, ‘Chinese Mythology’, ‘Chinese Porcelain’, ‘Chinese Cultural and Ethnic Diversity’, ‘Chinese Traditional Festivals’, ‘History of Chinese Makeup’, ‘Chinese Remaining Theorem’, ‘Tian Ming Concept’, ‘Bonsai Art’, ‘Go ‘Chess’, ‘Taoism’, ‘Chinese Astrology’, ‘Chinese Legend Stories’, ‘Chinese Cuisine’, ‘Earth Soldiers’, ‘Wong Kar War and movies’, ‘Chinese Painting Art’, ‘Shao Lin Kung Fu’, ‘ Topics such as ‘A Chinese Female Pirate Leader: Zheng Yi Sao’ were included. Thanks to these presentations, participants from both inside and outside the classroom gained meaningful information about Chinese culture in an enjoyable way.

Then, on two different days, they tried to eat Chinese food with chopsticks, which is made with the menu that is common in the daily life of the Chinese.

The second series of presentations on Chinese Culture prepared by our students who took Chinese lessons on December 12 and December 20 will continue. Interested students can attend hall 229 of the SFL building.

We would like to thank the SFL academic and administrative teams who contributed to the realization of the event and wish our students a productive year.
